Contrary to some speculative reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has not confirmed that the Class 12 results for 2025 will be declared today, May 2.
CBSE officials have clarified that there are no plans to release results on this date, aligning with past trends where results are typically announced in mid-May.
Historically, CBSE has released Class 12 results around mid-May. For instance, in 2024, the results were declared on May 13, and in 2023, they were announced on May 12.
This year, the board is expected to follow a similar timeline, with both Class 10 and Class 12 results being announced simultaneously.
How to Check Results
Once the results are declared, students can access them on the following official websites:
- cbse.gov.in
- results.cbse.nic.in
- cbseresults.nic.in
To check results, students will need their roll number, date of birth, school number, and center number as mentioned on their admit card. Results will also be available on DigiLocker and the UMANG app.
Passing Criteria
To pass, students must secure at least 33% marks in each subject, with separate passing criteria for theory and practical components in Class 12. Grace marks may be awarded to those who narrowly miss the passing threshold.
Re-evaluation and Verification
After results are announced, students can apply for re-evaluation or verification of marks through the official CBSE portal. This process typically involves a nominal fee per subject.
As the CBSE result declaration draws near, students are advised to stay updated through official channels and avoid relying on speculative reports. The results will mark a crucial milestone in their academic journey, shaping their future educational paths.
